Fire crews respond to an additional blaze in Homan Square;  no injuries reported

CHICAGO (SCS) — Chicago firefighters battled an additional alarm blaze on the West Side early Sunday morning.

The fire started in a two-storey apartment in the 3700 block of West Lexington Street around 3am. Flames can be seen on the building’s back porch and stairs.

Buildings on both sides of the apartment were also threatened by the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
