According to Record, FC Porto star Vitinha is set to move to Paris Saint-Germain, with the Ligue 1 giants set to pay around €40m for the 22-year-old. The midfielder thrived for the Liga Nos giants last season, contributing 9 goals in all competitions as Porto won the league title.
While his loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers didn’t quite go to plan, Porto continued to link up with Vitinha in hopes the midfielder would come into his own. That was proven as the 22-year-old flourished for the club last season, playing a key role as Porto won the Liga Nos title at the end of the season. Not only that, the 22-year-old has contributed to 9 goals in all competitions which has seen Fulham and Paris Saint-Germain chase him.
However, the League 1 the Giants have already won the race with reports that the 22-year-old was too eager to sign for them from the moment they showed interest. So much so that personal terms have already been agreed with Vitinha set to sign a five-year contract, although the potential transfer fee has been the stumbling block. But Record have reported that Porto and PSG have reached an agreement on a €40million fee for the midfielder, who is now expected to undergo a medical.
The report revealed that the problem was that Porto wanted Vitinha’s release clause paid up front while PSG wanted to pay them in instalments, although this issue has been resolved. Not only that, Record further reported that the 22-year-old is expected to undergo his medical before the end of the week and PSG have already moved on to other targets, mainly Renato Sanches and Milan Skriniar.
