“Fauci should be investigated for lying to Congress”

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) has called on the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr Anthony Fauci, to be investigated for lying to Congress by denying that his agency had Funded the research into the gain of office during testimony earlier this year during an appearance on FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday.

“Well, this is just another example of the incompetence of the Biden administration. They believe Tony Fauci remains a credible and impartial messenger on the Wuhan coronavirus, ”he said. “I mean, you saw this weekend, he came out and became an open supporter attacking a sitting US Senator, who was democratically elected by the people like the other 99 Senators are, like a simple bureaucrat, who works for those people who democratically elected the 100 senators, attacking him in a partisan way.

“It’s not Tony Fauci changing or turning a new leaf,” Cotton continued. “He’s been from the very beginning. And it is a simple fact that he testified in Congress, by the way, that he did not fund through his agency the research on the gain of office in the Wuhan laboratories, making the more dangerous and more transmissible coronavirus. Yet her agency has since acknowledged that it is in fact funding this type of job gain research. These two things cannot be true. Fauci should be investigated for lying to Congress.
