Dak Prescott Injury Update

Prescott injured his calf in the last game of his Week 6 game, but said he could have played there if he had to. He was seen wearing a walking boot after the game, but the idea is that it was just a precaution. Prescott continued to double down on the idea that he was fine and would be ready to go after the Cowboys’ Week 7 exemption, so we’re not worried about his status. Obviously, setbacks and new developments may arise, so we will continue to monitor its situation.

The good news is that he will have plenty of time to recover. If his problem persisted, Cooper Rush would likely start in Prescott’s place, which would have a big (negative) effect on the other Dallas playmakers.

WEEK 7 PPR RANKINGS:

Baker Mayfield injury update

Mayfield (left shoulder) once struggled with a partially torn labrum and had an awkward fall on the injured shoulder that was not throwing in week 6. He was sacked five times and was beaten and bruised all over. throughout the game. After spending some time in the medical tent, he returned to action before being put on the bench later after the game was already out of control against Arizona.

STANDARD RANKING FOR WEEK 7:
quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

We tend to believe he’ll be ready to play Thursday night against Denver (as will Mayfield himself), but it’s hard to expect him to be close to full strength. He’s mostly had a fantastic poor performance this year anyway, so he’s best suited for the bench in all leagues except the two-QB / superflex leagues. We rank him QB22 for Week 7. To put that in perspective, he’s just ahead of Geno Smith, Zach Wilson, Jared Goff and Davis Mills. With Justin Herbert, Dak Prescott, and more farewell, fire up one of the other streamers we’ve identified in our waiver mics before considering Mayfield.
