Fantasy Football 2021 PPR Ranking: Top 200 Cheat Sheet

Let’s face it – even if you’ve actively found your way to this article, you’re going to disagree with it. More than that, you want to to disagree with it. You can’t wait to point out how stupid it is that Player X is ranked above Player Y, all QBs are too high, or your favorite fifth-string rookie WR sleeper isn’t even on it. There is no doubt in your mind that you could do a better ranking of the top 200 fantastic PPRs in your sleep. Your only hope the other suckers in your league take these rankings to heart when developing their draft strategies.

Uh, you might be right. It’s fantastic football, after all. We put a lot of time and energy into our preseason rankings, but injuries, surprise busts, escapes from nowhere and other weird things happen every year. And that’s exactly why these rankings are worth checking out.

As confident as you are in your ability to rate players, you know you’ve been wrong in the past. Getting different perspectives on the preseason standings might not only help your choice, but it can also give you an idea of what other owners are thinking about your league. If we have a player ranked significantly lower than you, chances are at least a few others will as well. It could mean that you don’t need to hit such a high level for your favorite sleeper.

It is also important to fully understand the differences between the PPR rating and the standard rating. It sounds intuitive, but if you’re used to playing one league against the other, it’s easy to overestimate (or underestimate) the differences. Additionally, the default settings for your league or other published ranking sets may be optimized for a standard score even if you are in a PPR league, which could really affect how your draft works.

Aside from the receptions which obviously count more in the PPR leagues, all QBs and D / STs are usually worth a little less. Simply put, there are just more points available for RB, WR, and TE, so they’re more valuable. While QBs are the same in value to each other, they don’t outperform other positions as much.

The differences between our Standard and PPR rankings start right away, as Derrick Henry, our No.1 player in the Standard League, drops to No.5 in the PPR behind Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Alvin Kamara and Dalvin Cook. Tyreek Hill, our best standard WR, drops to fifth place among wide receivers behind Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Stefon Diggs and Calvin Ridley. When we talk about high-level players like this, the differences are slim, but the values are still affected, even in half-point PPR formats.

Of course, your biggest issues with these rankings are likely to be further down the list. Committee backs, WRs in new offenses, potential TEs in breakout – all of these types of players generate intense debate among fantasy owners every year. It’s part of what makes fantasy football so much fun. Either way, looking at different perspectives will only make your draft preparation more complete and help you achieve the one thing we all strive for: a fantastic championship.

We’ll continue to adjust these Top 200 PPR rankings and provide more in-depth analysis through Week 1, so check back for updates!
