Cleveland Browns (vs. Houston Texans)
Choose popularity: 35% (most popular survivor choice)
Point spread: -12.5
The Browns are tied for the biggest favorite of the week with Tampa Bay. Cleveland has good future value, but it also has enough winning odds to offer solid value using them. Its breeding popularity is not prohibitive (at least) and Cleveland appears to be a reasonable choice in most pools with around 35% breeding popularity. Keep an eye on the draw rate because if it goes up throughout the week, that could change.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. Atlanta Falcons)
Choose popularity: 21%
Point spread: -12.5
Tampa Bay will be a frequent survivor choice option this year and has the highest future value of any team. Considering this high future value, you should always weigh whether this is the right place to use them.
With popularity above 20% and two more high winning odds options in Week 2, the current answer is more likely to save the Bucs for a place where they have such high winning odds but are not chosen. by as many adversaries.

Green Bay Packers (vs. Detroit Lions)
Choose popularity: 17%
Point spread: -11.0
Green Bay was crushed last week by New Orleans, as Aaron Rodgers threw two interceptions and the team scored just three points. The Packers have the lowest future value of prime options this week after accounting for their drop in power rating due to last week’s result. (If you think last week’s result will be a complete anomaly, it might not be.)
Considering they’re not as popular as the other two double-digit favorites, the Packers seem like a reasonable option – that is, if you can get past the selection of a team that has played very poorly in the game. last week and you trust the betting market numbers. You must also be able to wait until Monday Night Football to find out your survivor plight.

New England Patriots (at New York Jets)
Choose popularity: 6%
Point spread: -6.0
About 27% of the public pick a team in addition to the three double-digit favorites, and New England is the most popular pick among those alternate picks. Pats have moderate future value, but it wouldn’t be unreasonable to use them now if playing a little riskier to avoid the more popular choices makes sense for your pool.
Fun Fact: Over the past 20 years, the Patriots have won a slightly higher percentage of road games (80%) than at home (77%) in this AFC East rivalry against the Jets.

Denver Broncos (at Jacksonville Jaguars)
Choose popularity: 6%
Point spread: -6.0
Denver has very similar chances of winning and popularity to New England. If this is true, Denver having a higher future value plays a role in choosing between the two alternatives. Denver has the Jets at home next week and Detroit and Cincinnati at home in back-to-back weeks of Weeks 14 and 15. If you’re in a bigger pool with several hundred or thousand entries, you’ll probably need to survive the whole time. season to win it and should definitely plan for weeks 14 and 15 now.
