Making just his second appearance for the club, the 25-year-old had a real chance to impress against fierce rivals Real Madrid, which he did after 27 minutes.

Intercepting a pass from Real’s Eder Militao, Raphinha put the ball on his left foot and launched a ferocious left-footed effort into the top corner of the net from 25 yards out.

A goal worthy of winning any match, Raphinha’s strike earned Barcelona a 1-0 victory in Las Vegas, his second goal in two appearances since joining the Catalan giants.

The contest also saw Robert Lewandowski make his Barcelona debut, following his move from Barcelona.

Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have also featured in Xavi’s side.

In typical El Classico fashion, it wasn’t all glitz and glamor as tempers flared between the two teams.

The incident happened shortly before half-time when Vinicius Jr showed off his exceptional ability by running from Real Madrid’s half and towards Barcelona’s penalty area.

After dodging two sliding challenges, the young striker was knocked down by Jordi Alba on the edge of the box, the wing-back immediately tipped off by the referee.

In the aftermath, Sergio Busquets and Vinicius exchanged words, resulting in shoving, shoving and a full-scale altercation between the two fierce rivals.

Both sets of players calmed down before things got too heated, but it’s proof that even in the safe environment of a friendly game, these two teams are among the fiercest of rivals.
