Whether it’s raining, sunny, or a canine stroke, actress Clara McGregor was determined to make it to her film’s premiere on time.
Ewan McGregor’s daughter, 25, suffered a dog bite to the face before hitting the red carpet on Friday night for the movie “The Birthday Cake”, in which she starred alongside her father and also co-produced .
“When a dog bite lands you in the ER 30 minutes before the red carpet, thank you @themobmuseum for inviting us, @thebirthdaycakemovie hits theaters and VOD on June 18,” she wrote alongside a photo from the first showing cuts without bandages on his cheek and nose.
She also shared a photo of herself in the hospital, presumably shortly after the attack, as she turns off the camera while holding her phone.
McGregor appeared to roll with chaos, appearing at the premiere in a cream-colored Fendi suit and posing for photos with other cast members later that night.
Her article about her injuries drew many supportive comments from friends and fans alike, including Kaia Gerber, who wrote: “You are so badass.” Martha Hunt added: “owww! you’re hot though ”next to a fiery emoji.
Other commentators called McGregor’s look a “red carpet winner” and “Shameless” star Jeremy Allen White commented that she “looked tough.”
McGregor is the eldest of Ewan McGregor’s four daughters with his ex-wife Eve Mavrakis. The couple separated in 2017 and officially filed for divorce a year later after 22 years of marriage.
Shortly after the split, the “Star Wars” actor began dating his “Fargo” co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, whom Clara publicly criticized online as “garbage” in 2018.
She then expressed regret for the comment, which she said was not her “best time.”
“It wasn’t the most mature way to approach it, but I was angry and upset,” she told British newspaper The Times. “There had been a lot of preparation and a lot of stuff to deal with – not making excuses or anything. “
“I love him and will love him always,” she continued, referring to her father. “The relationship is not going to end because of this. We’re incredibly close and although I strongly disagree with the way he handled things, I will always love him, and I hope he’s happy, you know?
