European indices close with strong gains

The main European indices end with strong gains.

Temporary fences display:

In the European debt market, benchmark 10-year yields are all down, but by less than a basis point.

In other markets, as London / EU traders seek to exit:

  • Spot gold is trading down $ 1.50 or -0.09% $ 1,781.20
  • Cash is down $ 0.23 or -0.99% to $ 22.29
  • Crude Oil trades up $ 1.70 to $ 68.11
  • Bitcoin is trading just below the $ 50,000 to $ 49,246 level

In the US stock market, the Dow industrial average is leading the way as investors look to more cyclical stocks. The NASDAQ index is missing but is currently trading higher the same day after volatile swings above and below unchanged:

  • Industrial average Dow up 602 points or 1.74% to 35,183
  • S&P Index up 43 points or 0.95% to 4,581.37
  • NASDAQ index up 41 points or 0.27% to 15,126

In the US debt market, yields are rising with a slightly more pronounced bias. The 2- to 10-year spread is almost 78 basis points compared to 75 basis points:
