EssilorLuxottica signs a license agreement to offer Swarovski eyewear

(RTTNews) – French ophthalmology company EssilorLuxottica (ESLOF.PK, ESLOY.PK) announced on Tuesday that it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Austrian jewelry and accessories brand Swarovski for the design, manufacture and distribution world of Swarovski eyewear.
The agreement will be effective until December 31, 2028, with an option to automatically renew for an additional five years. The first collection under the agreement will be available on the market from September 2023.
The company noted that Swarovski Eyewear, which features designs inspired by the brand’s jewelry families, complements its extraordinary collections of jewelry, home decor and accessories.
The first collection, which will be developed under the direction of Giovanna Engelbert, Swarovski’s Creative Director, will launch in time for the FW23 season.
Alexis Nasard, CEO of Swarovski, said the deal is in line with our LUXignite strategy and is a natural partnership.
Additionally, Francesco Milleri, President and CEO of EssilorLuxottica, said, “We have always viewed each pair of frames as a work of art to wear, which makes Swarovski and its history so wonderfully matched.
