The subject: ESPN revamped its ‘Sunday Night Baseball’ lineup, placing Karl Ravech, David Cone and Edouard Perez in the weekly cabin while adding eight alternative “Kay-Rod” shows, featuring Alex rodriguez and longtime Yankees host and ESPN radio host, Michael kay.
Let’s make some take out.
1) While Rodriguez will always make the headlines because he’s A-Rod, the sports media story here is Ravech. ESPN decided he was a franchise player when it came to baseball. We love him a lot more as a studio guy than as a player per player, but he will be at the center of everything baseball-related for ESPN, justifying a seven-figure salary.
New York Post
