The ERUM group consolidated, this Tuesday, May 11, 2022, the extension of its factory in Tangier specializing in the manufacture of plastic hangers for the Clothing sector.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, the CEO of the Erum Group in Europe and Africa, Blanca Erum and the CEO of the Erum Group in Morocco, J.Carlos Mulero.
This extension will allow the factory to double its production capacity, in order to meet the needs of its customers and the entire textile-clothing sector in Morocco, going from 111 million units (according to 2017 data) to 202 million units by 2023, i.e. an additional capacity of more than 90 million units. “This new project reinforces our commitment to strengthen the industrial sovereignty of the Kingdom, in accordance with the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him”, said Mr. Mezzour on this occasion. And to specify that “Thanks to this investment, Erum fully covers the needs of the Moroccan textile ecosystem in hangers and is moving towards industry 4.0 by acquiring an automatic and semi-automatic hanger production process equipped with ‘ ‘high precision equipment’.
“With the extension of its factory, the Erum Group confirms its commitment and its confidence in Morocco as a destination and aims to grow its customers and the Moroccan textile and clothing sector as well as exports to neighboring countries”, indicates the group in a statement. A project which as a whole exceeds 235 million dirhams of investment and ensures the creation of 400 new jobs and a total of 700 direct jobs. The manufacturing unit of the Erum group in Morocco thus becomes the largest factory of the group and the largest investment made on an international scale by Erum Group. Erum Group, present in 22 countries, provides its customers with the manufacture of hangers in an ecodesign concept for the fashion sector as well as logistics solutions for the reuse and recycling of their products.
