The Norwegian Erling Haaland always higher. The Manchester City star striker has equaled the record for goals scored in a Premier League season since its inception in 1992. He also becomes the first player to score at least 50 goals for an English Premier League side since the season 1930/31.

Erling Haaland, Manchester City star striker, equaled the record for goals scored in a Premier League season since its creation in 1992, with a 34th achievement on Sunday in London against Fulham, beaten by the Citizens (2-1) on the 34th day. The ‘cyborg’ becomes the first player to score at least 50 goals for an English Premier League side since the 1930/31 season.

The 22-year-old Norwegian striker joined England’s Alan Shearer and Andy Cole, joint record holders, in opening the scoring from a third-minute penalty at Craven Cottage. Cole and Shearer had 34 goals, respectively in the colors of Newcastle in 1993-1994 and Blackburn in 1994-1995.

The record at 60 goals

The absolute record for goals scored during a season in the English Championship is held by the Englishman Dixie Dean, author of 60 goals in 1927-1928 in the jersey of Everton. Haaland, who reached that figure in 30 appearances, took his tally to 50 goals this season in all competitions.
