Eric Adams Says Andrew Cuomo Gave Him ‘Creative Ideas’ Over Dinner

Mayor Eric Adams revealed Thursday night that Andrew Cuomo gave him some “creative ideas” at their recent dinner party as he continued to shine a positive light on his meeting with the disgraced former governor.

In a late-night radio interview on The Rita Cosby Show, Adams gave some additional details about what was said between the two during the roughly two-hour chat at the Midtown hotspot Osteria La Baia on Tuesday night.

“He’s given me some creative ideas on how to get the businesses up and running again. I’m running them through my team to see if that’s something we want to do,” Adams told Cosby.

“Because we are dealing with a real crisis. We don’t have our offices open and it’s crucial that we do,” the mayor said.

Adams also said Cuomo offered advice on how to lobby the state for funds.

“He gave me creative ideas on how to manage the budget, how to pitch in Albany next week on getting resources to the city,” he said.

The mayor reiterated that the sit-down “was not a political meeting”.

Adams has attempted to justify the encounter in several media interviews since it was first reported by Page Six.

Some critics have questioned why Adams would dine with Cuomo, who resigned in August after the damning sexual harassment investigation by state Attorney General Letitia James was released.
