Fortnite Battle Royale V19.01 patch update: Epic Games are releasing a brand new patch update for their favorite battle royale title. They introduced the Fortnite Battle Royale V19.01 patch update to the game, which brings new weather and a new rocket gun to the game. They posted: “Today’s forecast is predicting tornadoes and flash join the elements of the island. Find out below how to use this new weather forecast to your advantage! And speaking of weather, turn up the heat with the vaultless Flare gun. “Let’s see the details.

TWISTER AND SHOCK: THE NEW WEATHER EXPLAINED

If you see a tornado forming, it is not a flight signal. Instead, launch out as a whirlwind escape strategy! You’ll spin around in circles until you choose to go to safety – or if you keep spinning long enough – until the twister spits out at you. Don’t worry: you won’t take fall damage if you are thrown.

If you see a dark cloud starting to form, that’s not necessarily a signal to leak either. Sure, the resulting lightning deals a small amount of damage (and sets the surrounding area on fire), but the power of its shock gives players a temporary boost in speed.

How to increase your chances of being struck by lightning? Jump into a body of water under the cloud, or reach the highest point below! Lightning doesn’t strike twice in a row – once you’ve been struck, lightning won’t strike you right after.

Don’t let lightning start fires. With this fix, the Flare Gun no longer has a chest! So now, in addition to the Firefly pots, you can trigger flares to use the spread flames. Find flares in chests, on the ground, and in Supply Drops!

TORNADO WEEK: THE TWISTERS STEP UP

Cyclones are high intensity to mark this climatic upheaval.

In Tornado week, until January 17 at 9 a.m. ET, there is a higher percentage of chances that you will encounter tornadoes around the island on their debut. The wind is at your back!

Competition Notes:

  • Tornadoes and Lightning are not included in competitive playlists.
  • Flare Guns are not currently in competitive playlists but are subject to a review period.
    • During this season, items like the Flare Gun and Shield Keg could potentially make it to competitive playlists after a one to two week review period. In this season, in particular, we are evaluating the viability of a greater number of mid-season items introduced into competitive playlists than in the last few previous seasons.
