England ‘not maximizing their potential as a group’, says Lawrence Dallaglio

awrence Dallaglio criticized England’s attacking play in their 23-19 Six Nations win over Wales last weekend when speaking on his Evening Standard Rugby podcast in association with Fuller’s London Pride.

Dallaglio believes England have the talent to do far more than they currently offer, but suggested they are “not maximizing their potential as a group”.

The 49-year-old was joined by Irish legend Brian O’Driscoll, host of London’s Irish podcast ‘Exile Nation’ Bill Pulling as well as Will Macpherson of the Evening Standard to dissect the action from this Six Nations weekend as well than the Gallagher Premiership.

There were a few surprise picks from each of the panelist’s Outstanding Player of the Week awards, two of which came together for players who completed last weekend’s proceedings on the losing side.

However, there was a Sean O’Brien story offered by Pulling that probably won’t surprise anyone familiar with the character of the former Irish striker and his apparent preference for hijinks.

Follow all the action above or on the Acast website – and don’t forget to subscribe wherever you listen to your podcasts to keep up with the Six Nations and news from the wider rugby community.
