Elon Musk’s transgender children’s petitions tribunal seeks name change, declares separation from father

Xavier Musk, 18, is seeking a name change for Vivian Jenna Wilson to “conform to the petitioner’s gender identity,” according to April’s filing in California Superior Court in Los Angeles shortly after her birthday, which was first reported by TMZ. The teenager also applied for a new birth certificate in her new name.

A hearing on the application will be held on Friday.

The teenager has a twin brother, Griffin. Their mother is Canadian author Justine Wilson, who was married to Musk from 2000 to 2008.

The twins were born in 2004. The little boy from Wilson and Musk, Nevada, born in 2002, died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at the age of ten weeks.

The couple also have 16-year-old triplets.

The Tesla billionaire did not comment on the court filing.

He hasn’t been very outspoken about LGBTQ issues, but has made a few remarks on Twitter, a number of which have been criticized as transphobic.
