Eden Hazard ‘offered himself to Chelsea’ as Real Madrid seek to end the nightmare, but Blues are more interested in moving Robert Lewandowski or Erling Haaland – which could see Timo Werner leave

Real Madrid flop Eden Hazard is linked with a shock return to Chelsea this summer.

The Blues legend, 30, has had a scorching spell at the Bernabeu since arriving for an initial £ 89million in 2019.

With just five goals in two seasons, Hazard has spent most of his time injured and Madrid would be happy to sell.

AS report that the Spanish giants plan to bring the Belgian captain back to Chelsea for just £ 51million.

However, with the Blues chasing several costly goals this summer, it could be a tough sell, especially with the winger’s salary demands and injury record.

Thomas Tuchel already has a plethora of quality winger at his disposal and Chelsea have made no secret of their desire for a new world-class forward.

Harry Kane, Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski have all been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge at various times this summer.

Meanwhile, Timo Werner could leave Chelsea after a season at the club if their offer for a new striker is successful this summer.

The 25-year-old Germany international has had a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge, scoring just six times in 35 Premier League appearances.

According to 90 minutes, Werner is not unhappy at Chelsea but would be ready to leave if a new striker walks through the door.

It is understood the German would prefer a return to the Bundesliga, having arrived from RB Leipzig, and could possibly be used as a weight in a deal for Lewandowski from Bayern Munich or Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
