Eddie Hearn thinks Dillian Whyte will put Tyson Fury to sleep as he predicts exact punch that will cause knockout
Eddie Hearn backs Dillian Whyte to create a major upset and knock out Tyson Fury on Saturday night.
The rival British heavyweights are set to do battle live on talkSPORT this weekend, with Fury’s WBC heavyweight title on the line.
Although not involved in promoting the fight, Hearn made a prediction in favor of his man.
hearn said DAZN: “Tyson Fury, in my opinion, does not have the power to bring out Dillian Whyte.
“I think actually when they trade left hooks, Tyson Fury will go to sleep, and he will go to sleep in round 11.”
Whyte is technically a free agent, but has worked exclusively with Matchroom on a fight-by-fight basis since 2015.
During this time, he headlined several PPV events promoted by Hearn on Sky Sports.
For the Fury fight however, Whyte will box under a co-promotion of Frank Warren and Bob Arum on BT Sport.
Indeed, Warren won purse bids for Fury vs Whyte in February with a record bid of $41m (£30.6m) – confirmed to be the biggest purse bid in the history of the boxing.
Eddie Hearn has offered $32m (£23.9m).
Of Warren’s winning bid, 10% is kept as a winner’s bonus, while the rest is split 80/20 in favor of Fury.
This means Fury is set to receive $29.5m (£22m), Whyte will receive $7.4m (£5.5m) and the winner of the fight will receive an additional 4.1 bonus. million (£3.1 million).
