Eddie Hearn has insisted that Tyson Fury “would be a lot bigger” if the Gypsy King was promoted by the chairman of Matchroom.
The WBC champion is currently represented by Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions, but Warren’s former rival Hearn doesn’t think he should be.
Hearn lost staging Fury’s UK comeback fight against Dillian Whyte as he failed to match Warren’s purse offer for the all-British fight.
The Matchroom chief’s purse bid of $32.2m (£24.6m) was blown by Warren and Bob Arum who won the rights by producing a bid of $41m (31, £4 million).
Fury – unbeaten in 32 career fights with a record 31 wins, 22 by knockout and one draw – will face Whyte in a heavyweight showdown at Wembley Stadium on April 23.
And while Hearn has declared his admiration for Tyson and his father John, he says they are missing an opportunity by opting out of his promotion squad – a move that would unite the Gypsy King with heavyweight rival Anthony. Joshua.
“Tyson Fury and John Fury, I like them,” he told pro boxing fans.

“Besides, they are not idiots. They know how much bigger he would be if I promoted him.
“They know I’m the best promoter in the world.
“But, we always had this little back and forth, back and forth.
“I think they’re both very entertaining and I think Dillian Whyte is going to beat Tyson Fury.”
