Eagles add LB Kyzir White in free agency

The Eagles’ chances of taking a linebacker in the first round have taken a hit, but their defense may have improved.

The team signed former Chargers linebacker Kyzir White to a one-year, $5 million deal on Saturday.

West Virginia’s 2018 fourth-round pick had 144 tackles, seven TFLs and two interceptions for the Chargers in 2021.

White, a converted safety with strong covering skills, is expected to start across from TJ Edwards in Jonathan Gannon’s defense.

In the Eagles Week 8 loss to Los Angels, White had eight tackles, including one for loss.
