Drake’s security guard shot in drive-by days after Kendrick Lamar doxxed rapper’s mansion in diss track cover

A security guard was injured in a drive-by shooting at Drake’s Toronto mansion just days after Kendrick Lamar used an image of the lavish property in the cover art for his new diss track against the rapper.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. ET Tuesday morning at the rapper’s palatial home, Park Lane Circle, in Canada’s prominent Bridle Path neighborhood.

Toronto police said the security guard was standing outside the gates of the property when he was shot by an unknown assailant.

A suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, according to information released by the Toronto Police Service on X.

The security guard, who was not named, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was not conscious when officers arrived at the home, police said. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

It’s unclear if Drake was home at the time, but his team is reportedly cooperating with investigators.

The shooting came just days after his rival Lamar doxxed Drake’s house in a diss rant against him amid an ongoing feud between the two rappers. Lamar created three similar diss songs about Drake in just 36 hours.

After the release of the diss track, Lamar fans took to Google Maps to rename parts of Drake’s neighborhood in Lamar’s honor.

On one pin, fans wrote “kendrickownsdrake,” while other nearby homes were renamed “CertifiedKidLover,” “Kendrick’s Pool” and “ChildMOE-lester.”

The feud between the two stars began a month ago when Lamar attacked the Canadian rapper and J Cole in his song “First Person Shooter.”

Drake responded with a diss track accusing Lamar of domestic violence. Lamar in turn accused Drake of having a secret daughter.

In another song titled “Not Like Us,” the “Humble” rapper calls Drake a “certified pedophile” and makes several references to alleged interactions with younger women.

“Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young,” Lamar begins, stating that Drake would have a hard time because of his alleged interests. “You better never go to cell block number one.”

Paul Krawczyk, of the police department’s Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force, said the motive for the shooting at Drake’s home remains under investigation.
