DraftKings Picks Week 2: NFL DFS Composition Tips for Daily Fantasy GPP Football Tournaments

The opening week of the NFL season is always here for (daily) owners of fantasy football. Of course, who can tell if this package contains a lot of happiness or a lot of sorrow? Whether you saved the first or the last in your DFS contests last week, the show continues as we await our lineup choices for the Week 2 DraftKings tournament.

The Washington football team, the Giants, Chiefs, Ravens, Lions and Packers are in independent prime-time slots this week, so we will not have access to any of their players on the main roster. . We’re going to dig deep on a few wide receiver spots in order to squeeze a few key pieces into the lineup, but we think there’s reason to be bullish on those lottery tickets this week.

PLUS WEEK 2 DFS: Best values | Range generator

As a reminder, here are the notable scoring rules for DraftKings contests: PPR full point, Four-point pass TD, three-point bonus for 100 yards rushing, 100 yards receiving and 300 yards passing.

DraftKings Picks Week 2: NFL DFS lineup for GPP tournaments

main Sunday slate, budget of $ 50,000

QB Tom Brady, Buccaneers vs. Falcons ($ 6,900). Not only did sportsbook open this Buccaneers-Falcons game with the highest / minus (52) on the main slate, but the Bucs were installed as the 10.5-point favorites. Brady and Bruce Arians love to throw it away, and it’s reasonable to expect plenty of aerial fireworks from this group after the Eagles cut out the Falcons in Week 1.

RB Dalvin Cook, Vikings @ Cardinals ($ 9,100). Christian McCaffrey ($ 9,900) was a bit off our budget this week, but Cook is a wonderful “fallback” option. He might not threaten the DraftKings 100-yard-receiving bonus like McCaffrey, but Cook is more than capable of breaking the 100-yard rushing plateau like he’s done eight times in 2020.

RB Chris Carson, Seahawks vs. Titans ($ 6,100). This is a bet on the volume and favorable outlook offered by Vegas (SEA -3.5, O / U 49). Carson hit 19 touches last week, leading the backfield by a wide margin. His Week 1 DK score (13.7 points) leaves a lot to be desired, but that’s what happens when you grope and get ruled out of the end zone. Russell Wilson won’t be hogging 100 percent of the scores all season, so Carson’s turn to visit the paint will come sooner or later.

WR Mike Evans, Buccaneers ($ 6,100). We like to stack Brady with Evans this week, largely due to the presumption that much of the field will be sour about putting Evans in the rosters after the three-catch, 24-yard stench last week. Brady is going to be spreading candy this season like it’s Halloween, and Bucs receivers will have to queue sometimes. If week 2 is indeed Evans’ turn, we get a favorable price in a juicy match. You might want to go for Chris Godwin or even Antonio Brown in gambling, but Evans is the perfect type of GPP choice.

quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | tight end | D / ST | Kicker

WR Will Fuller, Dolphins vs. Bills ($ 4,800). Fuller has served the last of his six suspension games and is ready to adjust to his new team. Somewhat misinterpreted as a mere “boom-or-bust” receiver, Fuller recorded more than 20 DK points on five occasions in 2020, including a 38.1-point explosion on Thanksgiving. The Bills’ defense will offer more resistance than the Lions on this occasion, but Fuller is a threat to ignite in any given week. It is another choice of prototype tournament.

WR Bryan Edwards, Raiders @ Steelers ($ 3,700). It’s not an ideal game, but we’re on a tight budget for that pick. Edwards commanded just five targets in Week 1 – tied for third on the team – but all five came in in the second half and overtime, where he missed by about half a yard one touchdown with 81 yards. If he can work his way through more of the passing game, it will be worth a roll of the dice at that price.

quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | tight end | D / ST | Kicker

TE Noah Fant, Broncos @ Jaguars ($ 4,200). Target volume may not always logically redistribute following injury to a top receiver. However, we’re still going to bet on Fant, who finished week 1 leading the team in goals (eight). Jerry Jeudy will be missed for several weeks with a sprained ankle and Fant’s numbers to rely on even more in the passing game.

Flex (RB) Najee Harris, Steelers vs. Raiders ($ 6,300). It wasn’t the beginnings that the Harris owners had in mind, but we’re going back to the well. It’s too early to get discouraged with Harris, who is locked in the lead role. He received 16 runs and three targets against a solid defense from the Bills. It won’t be long before it takes advantage of breakout play and its price skyrockets.

WEEK 1 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start them up, sit down

DEF Carolina Panthers vs. Saints ($ 2,700) Okay, so credit goes to the Jets ‘offense for making the Panthers’ defense so good in Week 1. However, the Panthers have talented young playmakers at every level of this unit and will be making noise. the whole season. The Saints lit up the Packers last week, so the Panthers aren’t likely to attract high property. If you don’t feel the game, the Bears ($ 2,800) are also within our budget. They started as four-point favorites ahead of their home date with the Bengals.
