Doncaster 2 – 1 Stockport

Doncaster’s habit of scoring late goals continued as Kieran Agard’s strike in stoppage time saw them take all three points in a narrow 2-1 League Two win over Stockport at 10.

After coming from behind in added time to beat Sutton and salvage a point in the same circumstances at AFC Wimbledon this weekend, Rovers again left it late to see stubborn Stockport, who got sacked Macauley Southam-Hales after 21 minutes for an off-ball incident with Tommy Rowe.

Doncaster made the advantage count after 37 minutes when George Miller finished smartly to put them ahead.

But the visitors caught Rovers taking a siesta in the first minute of the second half when substitute Ryan Rydel fired a shot through Jonathan Mitchell’s legs after a fine pass from Myles Hippolyte.

It seemed enough to save a point for the visitors, who proved difficult to break.

Lee Tomlin twice hit the woodwork with strikes from outside the box as Rovers dominated possession after the red card.

But it took until the second minute of injury time for the winner as substitute Agard slipped a shot through the legs of Vitezslav Jaros to seal the win.
