Dog rescue: Video shows 2 dogs rescued on North Freeway

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – It took first responders at least 45 minutes to rescue two dogs stranded along the northern freeway.

Houston TranStar cameras captured the moments when first responders rescued the two dogs just after 10 a.m. Saturday.

The dogs were walking in the HOV lanes on the northern freeway near North Main, but it’s still unclear how long they were there.

METRO police blocked traffic and were able to keep the dogs inside the barriers.

First responders were able to capture the two dogs safely.
