Dodgers Manager offers promising update on Gavin Lux
Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Gavin Lux hasn’t played since Monday with a troublesome injury.
His back wasn’t sharp enough to allow him to take the field.
Yesterday Cody Bellinger, who was due to have the day off, was called upon to replace Lux in the roster.
He is also not present in the line-up on Wednesday.
However, there is some good news to report regarding the player this afternoon.
“Dave Roberts said he was expecting Gavin Lux in the lineup on Friday. His back felt better moving today,” tweeted Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, who covers the Dodgers.

Over the past two seasons, Lux has received plenty of opportunities to grab a day job with the Dodgers.
However, he was unable to produce like he did in the minor leagues.
Lux appears to be on the verge of a breakout in 2022
At the start of the 2022 season, however, Lux appeared poised to burst, at least until the previous issue knocked him out of the lineup.
At this point, he’s averaging .276, with nine runs, one home run, five RBIs, two steals, and a rock-solid .888 OPS.
Sooner or later, the Dodgers end up making stars out of their players, or at least reliable contributors, so it was highly unlikely that Lux would be the exception.
He still has a long way to go if he wants to prove he belongs as an MLB star, but he’s very eager to show his worth in 2022 as a much more mature player.
To reach his considerable cap, however, he will need health on his side.
Here, I hope he can quickly overcome his back injury and get back to his dominant ways.
