Dixmoor lifts boil water order for most residents

CHICAGO (SCS) — It looks like Dixmoor’s water problems are over for now.

On Saturday, the southern suburban village lifted a boil order for most residents.

The order was put in place earlier in the week after two water main breaks disrupted service.

The boil order remains scheduled for people living in the Modern Estates mobile home park.

Water bottles will be available at the town hall for these residents.

Dixmoor has been plagued with problems with its water supply system for years.
