CHICAGO (CBS) — A disturbing video went viral on Monday showing a Chicago-based United Airlines employee brawling with a former NFL player.
The Twitter video picks up in full flight. You can see the United worker and a passenger shoving and punching each other at Newark Liberty International Airport.
The United worker is knocked to the ground and covered in blood – and gets up and continues to fight.
TMZ identified the passenger as former NFL player Brendan Langley – arrested for assault.
Langley tweeted on Monday that he was just defending himself.
The United worker was made redundant. United released this statement:
“United Airlines does not tolerate any form of violence at our airports or on board our aircraft and we are working with local authorities in their investigation of this matter. United Ground Express has informed us that the employee has been terminated.”
