West Ham have maintained their good form in the 2021/22 season and are unbeaten after four Premier League games with two wins.

But David Moyes knows his side will face a tough test against Zagreb – which reversed a 2-0 first-leg deficit to beat Tottenham last season.

Dinamo Zagreb v West Ham: team news

The hosts are expected to do without first-choice goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic after missing their 2-0 victory over Sibenik on Saturday.

This means Danijel Zagorac will be a substitute again, while Mario Gavranovic and defender Dino Peric are also expected to be missing.

For West Ham, Michael Antonio’s red card in the Premier League this weekend won’t stop him from participating and he will lead the line.

But Irons boss Moyes could look to turn other members of his squad ahead of a critical clash with former club Manchester United on Sunday.

This could mean new signing Kurt Zouma and Alex Kral are both in the running to make their full debuts.

Alphonse Areola could also make his first start in goal with Lukasz Fabianski and Craig Dawson gave himself a rest.

What was said?

Moyes admitted last month that he loves overseeing European football at West Ham after the group stage draw.

“I’m really excited,” he said.

“We watched the draw this morning to see it and watched the pots come out.

“The biggest thrill was seeing West Ham in one of the pots, back in Europe …”

He added: “The players deserved it with their performances throughout the season, which rightly deserved a place in European competition.”
