Dilon Bartifay found guilty of murdering Gregory Blair, father of former Pitt basketball star – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A man has been convicted of murdering the father of former basketball star Pitt.

After a three-day trial, Dilon Bartifay was found guilty on Monday of the 2019 murder of Gregory Blair.

Investigators said Bartifay and Blair, Dejuan Blair’s father, got into an argument on Center Street in Wilkinsburg. Bartifay then shot Blair and walked away. Blair later died in a hospital.

Bartifay faces a mandatory life sentence. He will be formally sentenced on May 13.

Blair was 46 when he died. His son played at Schenley High School and the University of Pittsburgh before being drafted by the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs in 2009. He played seven seasons in the NBA.
