Things are not going surprisingly well for Chris Paul.
The Suns point guard, who was playing his first NBA final, lost Tuesday to champion Milwaukee, who got an incredible outing in Game 6 of Giannis Antetokounmpo (50 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks). Conversely, Paul finished the game with 26 points, five assists and two rebounds and was minus-8.
The fact that Phoenix previously held a 2-0 lead in the series made Milwaukee’s return all the more painful. In fact, the Bucks only became the third NBA team to win a final after losing two games to zero (the Trail Blazers 1976-77 and the Heat 2006-07 were the others). But a 2019 State Farm commercial featuring Paul as a spokesperson – in which an adult buck deer destroys his car and garage – may have provided an early prediction for the outcome of the 2021 NBA Finals:

To make matters worse, fans who watched the TV broadcast of the finale on ABC on Tuesday were able to see another State Farm commercial featuring Paul. Just a little insult to the injury.
Paul is going to have to file a major claim to get over it.
