In his place, Marian Studenic entered the roster for the 16th time this season. The Devils lost the game to Pittsburgh 4-2.
Johnsson has been one of the Devils’ best forwards in an overall difficult season for the team and its offense. Always a good playmaker, he has improved his overall offensive game this season and is on an 82-game 20-goal pace.
It was Johnsson’s third missed game of the season. In 46 games, he has 11 goals and 26 points in 46 games.
The team has yet to release an update on Johnsson’s status or the severity of his injury.
