Deontay Wilder decided not to answer any questions at the first press conference ahead of his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury on July 24.
The former WBC heavyweight champion made a brief opening statement, then sat with his headphones on throughout the event, blocking out all noise and refusing to engage.
Wilder told ESNEWS, “I’m just talking about business, I didn’t come here to play.
“I’m strictly business when it comes to this fight. I’m going to let him do the circus, promote him and do it.
“And see, can he hold this end of the bargain?” Because I don’t think he can.
“He was looking for me to entertain and he was like my partner in crime, I’m Batman, he’s Robin.
“But now I’m going to let him do his thing and see how much fun it will be.” It’s the same old man, the same old man.
“I couldn’t hear anything, I didn’t want anything. It’s nothing for me to hear.
“I already have what I’m going to do stuck in my head and I can’t wait to be there.”
Wilder later continued, “What they were going to talk about, we’ve heard before.
“This is the third time, it’s nothing new that they’re going to be able to do.
“But I already knew I wasn’t going to say anything this time around. There is nothing to say.
“If you’ve been following me, you already know how I feel.
“If you follow me, you’ve seen actions and they say actions speak louder than words.
“So less talk, more action on my part.”
