Dem Michigan AG slams Tlaib for ‘cruel,’ hateful comments toward Israel

“@RashidaTlaib, I have supported and defended you countless times, even when you said the indefensible, because I thought you were a good person whose heart was in the right place,” Nessel wrote in a post

Tlaib’s remarks sparked outrage on social media, with Israel supporters blasting the representative’s remarks.

“From River to Sea refers to the complete obliteration of the Jewish state, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. It is also the battle cry of Hamas, a savage terrorist group that beheads babies and rapes women. You echo the terrorists,” StopAntisemitism, a nonprofit organization, wrote on X.

Rep. Byron Donalds, a Florida Republican, wrote on X: “From river to sea, there is a rallying call for the obliteration of the State of Israel. If that’s an aspiration for you, that’s a problem. Support Israel. »

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called for Tlaib to resign after taking office.

“Terrorist Tlaib promotes the genocide of all Jewish people in Israel and calls it ambitious,” Rep. Greene wrote in an X post. “’From the river to the sea’ means eliminating all Jews and taking their land from river to sea. You should resign and go to Gaza and fight on the front line for Hamas,” he added.
