Declan Rice is a player in demand this summer after playing for West Ham and England.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with a decision from the defensive midfielder, but any deal is likely to cost north of £ 100million.
The 22-year-old was actually released by the Blues as a teenager and then proved how much of a mistake it was.
Chelsea’s ties persist where he could also team up with his best mate Mason Mount.
Another player he would team up with in midfield would be N’Golo Kante – the maestro who won Premier League titles with Leicester and Chelsea, as well as the Champions League and the World Cup.
Rice and Kante would make a great partnership in the middle of the park, which we perhaps could have enjoyed a few years earlier.
The France star was linked with a transfer to the Hammers in 2015 while with the Ligue 1 team in Caen.
Slaven Bilic, manager at the time, wanted to sign him but ended up joining Leicester City for just £ 5.6million.

Bilic told the Daily Mail in 2016: “We were pretty close. I watched it in France, in Nice.
“He was a good player, the same player he is now with Leicester.
“A starting midfielder, not very tall, but he’s one of those players who after 20 minutes we think there are twins, that there are two because of the energy, the intelligence with which he plays. He is always there.
“When you watch a game on TV, there are players who are always on TV. They’re never out of sight, whatever you see, you see them, he’s one of them.
“It’s not just an ability involving big lungs or legs or whatever, it’s in the head.
“So he was there, but we’ve had players before in the same positions and it just would have been too many players for the same position.”
Bilic had to settle for Alex Song on loan and Pedro Obiang for £ 4.4million and Leicester got a player who turned out to be one of the best midfielders in the world.
Kante spent a season with the Foxes, winning the Premier League title in 2016 before being sold to Chelsea for £ 32million.
With the Blues, he won the Premier League, the Champions League, the Europa League and the FA Cup, while he also became world champion in 2018 with France.
He may soon have a new midfielder partner by his side at Rice, with reports of a swap deal for Tammy Abraham on the table.
Perhaps West Ham fans could see exactly what could have been with the two players on the same side.
