Decatur woman charged with methamphetamine and possession of marijuana

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A woman was arrested Friday on multiple drug charges.

Decatur Police say officers attended a home in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue Southwest to arrest 40-year-old Ambre Regan Zent. She was wanted on six different counts.

However, after making the arrest, investigators discovered a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana inside the house. Additional charges were filed against Zent as a result.

Zent was incarcerated in Morgan County Jail on eight different counts.

She was wanted for:

  • Three counts of possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs
  • Second degree possession of marijuana

Additional charges filed after the arrest were:

  • methamphetamine trafficking
  • Second degree possession of marijuana

As of Sunday morning, she was still in Morgan County Jail on $104,200 bond.
