Decatur City Schools Hires 10 New School Bus Drivers

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – Decatur City Schools is looking to hire several more full-time staff, including several school bus drivers.

The district is hiring 10 full-time drivers and two bus helpers, they are also looking for people who can work as back-ups. Drivers are required for morning and afternoon trips.

To be considered a driver, you must be over 21, enjoy working with children, obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) from the Alabama Department of Public Safety, and obtain certification to drive an Alabama school bus. ‘Alabama through the Alabama School Board.

“I think sometimes people are not quite sure, can I work with children? Am I able to work with students?
