Turkey may be on the menu, but “Nuk” is still grilling up the beef.
DeAndre Hopkins is, apparently, very thankful for the situation he’s in with the Cardinals, and he’s not shy about it. He’s been pretty vocal about being in a good situation since being traded for David Johnson and a second-round pick earlier in the year.
Well, Thanksgiving offered Hopkins another opportunity to deliver a nice roast of the Texans, with the former All-Pro delivering his thanks while also delivering a petty jab at the Texans.
I’m thankful for the @AZCardinals believing in me enough to trade me for a 2nd rounder 🙏🏾🙏🏾

On its surface, it doesn’t seem like much, but the tweet’s timing is certainly conspicuous: it was posted not long after the Lions took a 7-0 lead over his former team during their Thanksgiving matchup.
The lead was short-lived, with JJ Watt notching a pick-6 of Matthew Stafford, following by a fumble recover and eventual touchdown for the Texans.
Through 10 games with the Cardinals, Hopkins is lighting it up: He’s got 912 yards receiving with four touchdowns on the season as one of Kyler Murray’s primary targets. The Texans’ passing offense is making due without Hopkins this year, but the team sits at just 3-7 on the season.
Still, Hopkins is still in the business of petty, and we’re all about it.
