Dean Cain says Superman’s exit “is neither daring nor courageous”

Cain, who played the superhero in the 1990s television series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday and spoke about the character of Jon Kent, written as the son. of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, being in a relationship with another man in an upcoming edition.

The actor added that he didn’t think it was “daring or courageous or some crazy new direction.”

“If they had done it 20 years ago it might have been daring or courageous,” Cain said. “But brave would be to make him fight for gay rights in Iran where they would throw you out of a building for homosexuality.”

In the fifth issue of the DC comic book series “Superman: Son of Kal-El”, Jon Kent gets involved with Jay Nakamura, a male reporter, it was announced this week.
