The House Democrats’ campaign arm sent a memo to blue members with advice on “GOP extremism” under a potential president led by current House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan , R-Ohio.
Fox News Digital obtained the memo sent by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) containing talking points and communications tips as Jordan continues his quest for the speaker’s gavel.
“A Speaker Jordan means that extremism and far-right priorities will rule the House of Representatives,” the document states.
“It is imperative that our caucus make clear to voters how extreme Congressman Jordan is and how his presidency would negatively impact working families across the country, threaten democratic norms, and weaken relationships with our allies” , the memo continues.
DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATOR SAYS HE HAS ‘MULTIPLE’ NAMES OF GOPERS HE WOULD SUPPORT PRESIDENT IF JORDAN FAILS
Jordan was selected Friday as the GOP speaker nominee after weeks of deliberations that saw the initial candidate — House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., — drop out of the race.
The “messaging advice” gives Democratic members several talking points against a Jordanian presidency, including that “it appears there are no more moderates in the Republican conference capable of standing up to the far right “.
“Jordan will only win the presidency if the so-called ‘moderates’ continue to cave in and take him there,” the document said. “All Republicans who vote for Jordan for president are simply following Trump’s marching orders. It is clear that Republicans are incapable of governing themselves and are instead looking to the indicted former president for advice on everything .”
Speakers also suggest members say that “Jordan has shown voters how extreme he is and there is no indication that he will moderate in any way if he becomes president” and that Jordan “will hold the entire Republican caucus even further to the right.” “.
“House Democrats are ready to work across the aisle to lower costs for working families and make our communities safer,” the final talking point reads. “With a President Jordan, that’s not likely. Jim Jordan is one of the least bipartisan members of Congress, coming in near last on the Lugar Center’s bipartisanship score.”
The post also highlights controversies surrounding Jordan, including that the president-elect “sought to overturn the 2020 presidential election and refused to comply with multiple subpoenas aimed at uncovering details of the insurrection of January 6.
“Jordan is a conspiracy theorist who has adopted arguments associated with the Great Replacement conspiracy theory in official government hearings,” the memo reads.
“Jordan is a founding member of the far-right House Freedom Caucus, whose ‘our way or not’ approach continues.
The DCCC did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on the memo.
The Democrats’ message comes as Jordan potentially inches closer to the speaker’s gavel.

The House will meet Tuesday for the first scheduled vote on Jordan’s candidacy for the big chair.
Jordan has been calling for days since securing the nomination to shore up support for his candidacy, but nothing is guaranteed in Washington.
