Dave Chappelle addresses the aftermath of the ‘transphobic’ Netflix special

Dave chappelle is open to meeting transgender Netflix employees and other members of the transgender community, but warned he would “not comply with anyone’s requests.”

The 48-year-old comedian posted a stand-up video on Monday, October 25, in which he expressed his willingness to meet transgender people following the backlash to his recent Netflix special.

On the show, he told the audience, “It was said in the press that I had been invited to speak to transgender employees at Netflix and I declined,” Chappelle said. “That is not true. If they had invited me, I would have accepted it. Although I am confused as to what we would be talking about.”

He continued, “I said what I said, and boy, I heard what you said. My God, how could I not? You said you wanted a safe work environment at Netflix. Seems like I’m the only one who can ‘no longer go to the office.’
