‘Danger!’ contestant torn apart by fans after huge mistake: ‘Such a jester’

A danger ! The contestant is going viral this week after making what many fans consider one of the biggest blunders in the show’s history.

During Wednesday’s episode, a woman named Karen had a huge lead over the other two contestants as they approached the end of the second round – she had won $21,800, while her contestants had won $7,100 and $6,400.

With only a few clues left on the Double Jeopardy board, Karen found a Daily Double in the “Hans, Solo” category. If she had made a modest bet, she would have been sure to win the whole match after Final Jeopardy, as the other players would not be able to catch up to her lead.

Instead, she bet $10,000.

It was immediately obvious that Karen didn’t know the answer. When the time passed, she remained silent and started shaking her head.

“I’m sorry, Hans Holbein the Younger, that painter,” Jennings told him, saying quietly, “OK.”

Jennings specifically mentioned, “She had a big lead before she got tangled up with that last Daily Double, she gotta get Heller here,” but it was clear by her facial expression that she didn’t have the right answer.

Instead, she guessed Hunter S. Thompson and finished the show in third place with $5,399.

Longtime game show fans weren’t impressed with his strategy.

“Good God!” one person wrote on Twitter. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a competitor rise as high and fall as fast as Karen did today.”

As she explained, “Making an appropriate bet requires considering the probability of knowing the correct answer, which requires assessing your skill in the category, which requires knowing what the category is, what, at this at that time, I DID NOT.”

She summed up her experience as follows: “In the end, I did what I did, and I had the MOST FUN, and at the end of the day (I’m sorry mum, I know you hate that phrase) it’s a game, and it’s a show, and it’s a game show.”
