Czech medical volunteer injured in Russian shelling | ukraine news

A Czech medical volunteer who, as part of the Phoenix project, was helping to treat Ukrainian soldiers on the front line, was seriously injured in eastern Ukraine.
The Phoenix Project said in a Facebook post that the volunteer was repatriated to the Czech Republic.
“One of our brave medical volunteers from Donbass was injured by shrapnel. His condition has now stabilized, but the situation is serious and it is impossible to predict the development. We are doing everything possible in our power so that he can return to his homeland as soon as possible,” the report said.
It should be noted that the victim is a senior member of the Phoenix group, which rescued 25 people on the last trip alone.
As noted, as part of Project Phoenix, Czech doctors in eastern Ukraine are training soldiers to provide first aid and transport the wounded from the front lines.
