“Conor, I think when you look at the way he’s playing, he’s really happy at our football club.

“I think we are giving him the support he needs to be on the pitch and express his talent.”

“There’s no questioning the quality and what he can do.

“Wilfried at Palace, he’s at home and he’s been really good for this football club and I firmly believe he still has a lot to give.

“Since coming back from the Africa Cup of Nations he has wanted to push the team forward and the team is responding quite well.

“What’s important to me is the work ethic he had out of possession and he worked well with the other players around.

“That’s what I want from him because it will allow us to be stronger as a team and if we are stronger and when we are stronger he will be able to express his talent.”
