The Portuguese has been heavily linked with an exit from Old Trafford, with the Red Devils finishing a disappointing sixth in the Premier League last season.

Morgan previously claimed in conversations with his friend that Ronaldo was “sick and tired” of the situation at Man United.

However, the TalkTV host made his biggest claims about Ronaldo yet on Drive, adding that the 37-year-old could end up at a ‘surprise’ club next summer.

“I had quite a bit of contact last week. I certainly think it would be highly unlikely that Cristiano Ronaldo would play another game for Manchester United,” Morgan told talkSPORT.

“I just think mentally he moved on.

“I’m not going to say what we said to each other but as I’ve said from the start, I don’t think Cristiano feels Manchester United share his ambitions.

“I think he feels the signings they’re making, the commitment they showed last season, where they finished and a lack of Champions League football…

“If you’re him and you’re coming to the end of your career and you still want to win major trophies, you have to do a calculation. Am I going to do it if I stay at United?

“I think he thinks the structure of the club from top to bottom is not good. It’s not a reflection on the new manager [Erik ten Hag]he has a lot of respect for him, but that’s just an accurate reflection of where United are at right now.

Ronaldo has previously been linked with moves like Chelsea and Real Madrid, while Atletico Madrid are the most recent club to be in the hat for him.

But die-hard Arsenal fan Morgan would love to see Ronaldo join his club after almost joining as an 18-year-old before Man United intervened.

“Arsenal fans listening should know that I am doing everything in my power to try and persuade him to come to Arsenal,” Morgan added.

“And bearing in mind that he was about to come to Arsenal at the age of 18, he was about to sign under Arsene Wenger, and at the last minute he launched United during a a friendly against Sporting Lisbon and Ferguson didn’t leave that game until he signed it.

“I believe he would come home!”

“Him up front with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah would be a fantastic forward line for us, so why not?”
