Tottenham are still in talks with Atalanta over a deal for center-back Cristian Romero.
Spurs have made an offer of at least £ 34million (€ 40million) for the Argentina international, but no charges have been agreed with the Italian club.
Personal terms with the 23-year-old shouldn’t be a problem if the two clubs can agree on a fee, with Tottenham ready to give Romero a five-year contract plus an additional one-year option.
Tottenham’s new football managing director Fabio Paratici has stepped up talks over Romero, who also attracted interested Manchester United earlier this summer, having already reached a loan deal for Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini .
The 26-year-old Italian was Spurs’ first signing of the summer under new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo and is expected to challenge Hugo Lloris for the top spot.
Spurs also have the option of buying Gollini on a permanent contract for £ 13million if he plays a number of games in the coming season, according to Sky in Italy.
Tottenham have also signed Sevilla winger Bryan Gil, with Erik Lamela joining the Spanish squad under a swap-plus-cash deal.
Spurs will also pay Sevilla £ 21.6million for Gil, according to Sky in Italy.
The 20-year-old signed a five-year contract with Tottenham, while Lamela joined Sevilla on a three-year contract.
