Four people were rescued from a boat that ended up partly suspended over a dam in a Texas reservoir on Thursday.
Austin-Travis County EMS wrote on Twitter At around 2:30 p.m., crews were responding to a dam on the Colorado River near Lady Bird Lake after several people called 911 to report a boat “against the dam” that “appears to be passing over the dam.”
When EMS teams arrived, they shared a photo of a small blue motorboat hanging above the dam with four people inside.
Crews lowered the life jackets to the passengers, then tied the boat to a police boat with a rope to bring it back to open water, the Austin-Travis County EMS said. None of the occupants required medical attention.
