Creation of a self-regulation system (DAR) in the Aisne department (Academy of Amiens) for the start of the 2022 school year.

Through the schooling of students with ASD, the self-regulation devices (DAR) respond to the principles established by the 2018-2022 autism strategy, which made the schooling of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) ) a major issue in the national strategy and the construction of a fully inclusive school.

With the DARs, students with ASD, like any student, are educated in ordinary classes of an elementary school, full time. It is a question of diversifying the already existing schooling offer by not favoring an orientation towards a medico-social establishment (UEE) and thus avoiding a sector effect with the UEMA. In order to aim for full-time schooling in ordinary classes and not within a collective schooling system (localized school inclusion unit), this schooling is supported on a daily basis by a medico-social team established in the school.

10 students with ASD are referred by the Commission for the Rights and Autonomy of Persons with Disabilities to the medico-social service designated by the regional health and are educated during their elementary schooling, from CP to CM2in the establishment designated by the academy inspector.

Pedagogical, educational and therapeutic interventions refer to the recommendations of good practices of the HAS and are carried out within the school associating the teaching team and the medico-social professionals, whose actions are coordinated and supervised.

The methods of coordination between the school and the medico-social structure are provided for in the framework of a cooperation agreement. The purpose of this system is to enable quality schooling, by offering the various players involved in the schooling of the pupils concerned all the tools and skills to be mobilized, drawing on the expertise of professionals already mobilized with these students.

In 2021, ARS Hauts-de-France is launching a call for expressions of interest (AMI) for the creation of a self-regulation system in the academy of Amiens (department of Aisne) at the start of the 2022 academic year. .

It should be noted that at the start of the 2020 academic year, a DAR experiment was launched in the Hauts-de-France region (Amiens). An AMI will also be launched in the Nord department and in Pas-de-Calais in 2021.
