Cowboys player Kelvin Joseph wanted for questioning in connection with fatal Dallas bar shooting
Dallas police are looking to question a Dallas Cowboys player as part of their investigation into the shooting death of a man outside a bar last month, according to a report.
Cornerback Kelvin Joseph, who team officials do not believe was the shooter, had been involved in an argument outside the OT Tavern in Old East Dallas the same night, 20-year-old Cameron Ray , was shot in a drive-by outside the location, multiple sources told the Dallas Morning News.
Joseph, a 2021 second-round pick, was potentially spotted on surveillance footage at the bar mingling with the same group of people who later fought with Ray before the victim was shot on March 18, according to the report.
The cornerback is also known by his rapper alias “YKDV Bossman Fat”. Surveillance footage from the night of the shooting, obtained by Fox 4, shows a man wearing an apparent YKDV collar standing with a group inside the OT Tavern, according to the report.
The same group was spotted later that night in other surveillance footage fighting with Ray outside the facility.
Shortly after the quarrel, the victim drove away before being shot by a gunman who fired from a passing car.
The Cowboys declined to comment to the Dallas Morning News. But sources told the newspaper that team officials were encouraging Joseph to speak to investigators.
