The incidence rate

The incidence rate of covid-19 cases in Brittany, that is to say the number of new cases diagnosed by PCR test during the last seven days, continues to decline on Friday. It stood at 46.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a decrease of 22.1 points in one week. The positivity rate is 1.9%.

Ille-et-Vilaine retains the highest incidence rate, at 50.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-15). Just ahead of Finistère (49.1, -12.6), Morbihan (44.1; -14.9) and Côtes-d’Armor (38.9; -22.8).


The number of hospitalized patients was down sharply in Brittany, with 429 hospitalizations in progress (-44 compared to Friday, June 4). 43 patients were taken care of in the intensive care units of Breton hospitals (-6). Eight deaths are to be deplored in the past seven days. The death toll therefore climbs to 1,635 hospital deaths.

New cases

Brittany recorded 1,369 new cases in one week, bringing to 143,066 the number of people infected in the region since the start of the epidemic. Among these new cases, 499 are in Ille-et-Vilaine, 410 in Finistère, 261 in Morbihan and 199 in Côtes-d’Armor.

Epidemic foci

Brittany currently has 39 clusters under investigation (-29) by ARS Bretagne: 14 in Ille-et-Vilaine, 8 in Morbihan, 6 in Côtes-d’Armor and 11 in Finistère.


As of the evening of Thursday 10 June, 2,357,812 vaccinations had been carried out in Brittany. 47.4% of the Breton population (all ages combined) have received at least one dose. By department, the number of vaccinations amounts to 663,101 in Ille-et-Vilaine, 660,648 in Finistère, 552,910 in Morbihan and 481,153 in Côtes-d’Armor.
